Mudeford, Stanpit, Avon Beach, Friars Cliff and Steamer Point all form areas along the estuary and harbour leading to the Run and the beaches around Christchurch Bay. The town and Steamer Point are no more than 2 miles apart and beyond that is the village of Highcliffe, visit www.highcliffedorset.co.uk for more information. All the above make up the borough of Christchurch. Mudeford Quay with its old buildings, lobster pots, cafe, pub and fresh fish stall draw visitors in large numbers throughout the year. From here a ferry crosses the run to Hengistbury Head and sea fishing trips and local water trips can be found. Our beaches are clean, we do suffer from seaweed if the rough weather, but that is fine, its in fashion and our water is of the best quality. You will find a full range of facilities for your day on the beach, beach huts, deck chairs, wind breaks, kyacs to mention but a few features.
